Vedic Meditation is a simple eyes-closed technique, practiced twice a day for 20 minutes. The practitioner uses a personal mantra, or sound, which quiets the mind and settles the physiology. The meditator experiences inner wakefulness beyond thought while resting deeply. This profound rest allows deep-rooted stresses to dissolve naturally, bringing innumerable health benefits to the individual.

Vedic Meditation produces benefits immediately and cumulatively. And most importantly, it makes us happier. This is not being bored with your eyes closed. Nor is it a challenge or an achievement to be earned by effort. It is an effortless, divine technique that will revolutionize your life. 

Meditation changes people's lives. Everyone just wants to be happier, healthier, better rested, more energized, more creative. Meditation helps. The mind is always on a search for greater happiness. It always has the happiness-radar up and moves effortlessly towards it. You're reading a good book but then suddenly you hear your favorite song come on the radio in the other room. Your mind will drift to the other room without any effort. This is how it works and the mantra is charming enough to pull our mind inwards and into deeper layers of thinking without any effort. As we go deeper, we approach our source, Being, and we come up replenished, fulfilled, ready to go. 

Most people wait for rest or happiness. The wait till 5pm, or Friday, or summer vacation, or retirement. They think, "If I can just make it to the weekend then I get to relax." We don't wait for rest. We don't put off happiness. We start with it. Then we go into the field of action carrying that fulfillment with us.
