The Introductory talk is a one-hour lecture and Q & A session designed for anyone interested in learning more about Vedic Meditation — a simple, effortless and highly beneficial practice anyone can learn. What I teach requires no discipline, focus, or control. Nor is it emotionally demanding. It's easier than putting your pants on.
Why meditate? Because many of us find ourselves lost and depleted just trying to get happier, reach are goals, keep up. Most of us find that the demands, responsibilities, and distractions of life are so great that they absorb all of our resources, and the fun and satisfaction of life are lost in the mere maintenance of living.
During meditation, one experiences inner wakefulness beyond thought. Meditators describe this state as supreme inner contentment. The restfulness accompanying meditation is much deeper than that gained by sleeping. This profound rest allows deep-rooted stresses to dissolve naturally, bringing innumerable health benefits to the individual.
Vedic Meditation produces benefits immediately and cumulatively. And most importantly, it makes us happier. This is not being bored with your eyes closed.
