This intro talk to Vedic Meditation is a great way to find out more about a simple practice for busy people who want less stress, more happiness and creativity, and greater health. It's free and there's no obligation to sign up for the course. For those who are interested in learning, the four day course begins Sunday and ends Wednesday and is at various times to accommodate everyone's schedule.
Vedic Meditation is an easy technique requiring little effort. The meditator uses a personal mantra that does all the work. When we meditate we de-excite to our simplest from of awareness and stresses are expunged from our nervous system and we experience deep rest and inner wakefulness simultaneously. We don't adopt any new belief systems, we don't have to sit uncomfortably, do mudras, chant, or change who we are as people.
What you can expect is liberation from anxiety and insomnia, inner peace, greater happiness, more creativity, better health, deeper compassion for all living things and a "knowingness" you can't get from books, school, or the Internet. Expect everything you hope it is. Expect joy.
It's time to put rest and happiness at the beginning or your to-do list instead of at the end. I'll show you how to do that.
Everyone is welcome. Bring friends and try something new (that's thousands of years old).
